Beauty Beyond the Ashes
Cheryl lost her husband Tom on September 11, 2001 in the World Trade Center attacks. He was the pilot of the first airplane which was flown into the World Trade Center in NYC. Cheryl’s entire world was left shattered; a broken family, broken dreams and a broken heart. Fortunately this is not where Cheryl’s story ends; but marks the dramatic first few steps on a long and winding path towards healing.
Now, supported by her deep faith in God, Cheryl is sharing her personal journey from brokenness and grief to strength and peace; reaching out to others by sharing her message of courage, determination and love. Her ministry, called Beauty Beyond the Ashes, is touching many lives as she shares the relevance of her faith with others.
A sought-after speaker and author, Cheryl has appeared on “700 Club,” “Life Today,” “Good Morning America,” MSNBC, CNN, and FOX News. She has also been featured in publications such as Dr. James Dobson’s Focus on the Family, Thriving Families, Charles Stanley’s In Touch Magazine, Salvation Army’s War Cry, The Boston Globe, Chicago Tribune, New York Times and Newsweek.
